Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Co-ordination Salim Saifullah Khan on Thursday expressed his profound grief over the loss of lives and property by rains and storm in Sindh and Balochistan. He said government was utilising all available resources to help the victims of natural calamity.
"The Prime Minister's package of Rs 200 million will help speed up relief activities in the affected areas," he added. The minister lauded the efforts of people in co-operating and carrying out relief operations in the two worst hit provinces.
He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and assured them that they were not alone at this time of trial. Saifullah said provincial as well as district governments were engaged in relief work.
He said Pakistan Navy as well as Pakistan army are also engaged in operations. He said that Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had directed all the concerned authorities to speed up work for the rehabilitation of the affected people.
