ISLAMABAD: The employees of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) contributed Rs.1,590,333 to the Prime Ministers Flood Relief Fund.
According to PARC press statement, Secretary PARC Muhammad Aslam and Director Public Relations and Chief Protocol, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa on Wednesday presented Cheque amounting to Rs.1,590,333 to Federal Minister, Ministry of Food Security and Research, Mir Israrullah Zehri, for contribution in the Prime Ministers Flood Relief Fund.
The donation has been made by all PARC employees and Agricultural Scientists throughout the country, it added.
The statement said that as many as 23 districts of Sindh province were badly affected due to floods, causing loss of precious lives and displacing millions.
It said that the floods have also damaged 5.3 million acres of land including 1.6 million crops area besides damaging 1 million houses in the province.
