The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has cancelled the bar membership of Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain for sending the reference to Election Commissioner submitted against PTI chief Imran Khan.
The bar in its meeting with President Ehsan Bhoon also condemned the British government for awarding title of Sir to Sulman Rushdie and called upon the British government to withdraw the title. The bar appreciated Imran Khan for initiating proceedings against Altaf Hussain, termed it a great service to the nation.
The bar also condemned the government for threatening the lawyers of Chief Justice Pakistan and other senior bar members for support Chief Justice Pakistan. The bar also condemned the attitude of Mandi Baha-Uddin police for attacking the bar member Amanullah and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused.
