Supreme Court urged to take suo motu notice of 20 million voters missing
All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) has expressed grave concern over the missing of 20 million voters and non-availability of electoral lists to the political parties, which is a big question mark on the credibility of election commission and the process of fair and free polls.
Shahbaz Bhatti, Chairman APMA in his statement issued on Wednesday said that millions of voters are missing in the provisional electoral lists. In the fresh lists the name of the minority voters are also incorrect or shifted to other constituencies.
He said that huge decrease in the number of voters is a matter of deep concern for every citizen of Pakistan and all political parties are very single vote can play a decisive role. He asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to provide provisional electoral lists to any Pakistani citizen, political parties, or institution for scrutiny.
He also urged the election commission to place the provincial electoral lists on the web page of election commission and provide nation wide electoral lists is an electronic format to all the political parties.
He pointed out that number of minority voters in all over the country are drastically reduced and approximately 25% minority voters are also missing in the fresh voters lists. In the fresh lists, the names of the minority voters are also incorrect or shifted to other constituencies. He also appealed to the Supreme Court (SC) to take suo motu notice of millions of missing voters and non-availability of voters' list.
