Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) will formally hand over the water hydrants to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) and town nazims from July 1. This was announced in a statement of the Rangers issued here on Tuesday.
It said in 1999 in the wake of shortage of water in Hub River and the resultant water crisis, the Government of Sindh had entrusted the responsibility of running the water hydrants in Karachi to Pakistan Rangers.
