An engineering and construction company was completely burnt while two other firms also damaged after fire erupted in a commercial plaza on Shara-e-Qaedeen here on Monday.
The Zifpo Engineering and Construction Company, situated on 4th floor of Amir Trade Centre near Allahwali Chaurangi, was totally burnt while the adjacent Alico and Kelson International were partial damaged after the fire, erupted at 1: 45 pm. The fire was extinguished at 4: 00 pm.
The fire-brigade sources expressed doubt that the LPG cylinders lying in the kitchen of Alico were likely to cause the inferno. Meanwhile, the bodies of Umair s/o Nizamudin 24, and Yasir Imam s/o Raza Rehman 22, were recovered (8:00 am) from the Arabian Sea at Hawks Bay and handed over to their relatives. The two young boys had drowned into the rough sea on Sunday while swimming during a picnic party along with their friends.
