Chief Secretary NWFP Sahibzada Riaz Noor has said that the government is taking concrete steps for promotion of technical education and vocational training in the province therefore the young generation should opt for these lines instead of doing simple FA, BA and MA adding that there was no more scope for the non technical lines.
This he said while talking to members of a representative delegation of Thall, Tehsil and District Hangu which called on him at his office in Peshawar on Friday.
Members of the delegation on this occasion included Malik Amanullah Khan, Tehsil Nazim Thall, Malik Abdul Qayum Khan, Haji Izzat Khan, Malik Ghazi Marjan, Malik Israel Shah, Malik Jamil Khan, Malik Khaliq Shah, Professor Rehmanuddin, Haji Mushtaquddin, Haji Usman Mohammad, Malik Almar Din, Haji Hames Gul, Haji Qasim Khan and Haji Mohammad Shah etc.
Talking to members of the delegation, the Chief Secretary said that their people were no more required in the Middle East as they had no technical know how whereas the people of India, Philippine and Korea were in high demand by virtue of their technical and vocational education and training.
Sahibzada Riaz Noor regretted that their people only knew driving and manual labour, which was no more required in the Arab countries where the job of constructions had almost completed. He said they spend the hard earned money on either marriages or on building big and clumsy houses. He stressed the need for investment in education and industry, which could help grow the nation and the country.
The chief secretary on this occasion very sympathetically listened to the submissions of the delegation regarding problems of the people of Thal. He issued directives to education, health, local bodies and others in this connection.
