Fazlur Rehman for JUC to resolve people's problems

FAISALABAD: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said Jamiat Ulema Council (JUC) had provided a platform to religious leaders and now it was their duty to use it for redressal of people's problems.

Speaking in Ulema convention at Jamia Imdadia here, he said parliament was an authorized body for legislation but the legislations must be according to the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

He added the Jamiat Ulema Council was also striving to convince people for leading their lives according to Islamic teachings.

He said freedom was the basic right of every person. Therefore, it must be given without any discrimination.

Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman also visited Madrass Mahdul Faqeer in Jhang and delivered a lecture.
