PPP government to complete its tenure
KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon has said the democratically elected government of Pakistan Peoples Party will complete its tenure, All anti democratic forces seeking unconstitutional changes would fail in their nefarious designs, he told a group of journalists in a meeting with them at his office on Monday.
He said government strongly believed that political meetings and processions were part and parcel of democracy, however, it was necessary that a certain decorum is maintained.
The Sindh Minister for Information said the government is strongly committed to freedom of press and freedom of expression.
He said it was also the duty of political parties and individuals to follow the code of conduct and not to use indecent language.
He said Pakistan Peoples Party government has come into being through democratic process and those vying to come to power must wait for their turn instead of indulging in baseless criticism.
Sharjeel Memon in reply to a question said that rallies, processions and criticism were constitutional rights of the politicians, however, present circumstances demanded that they should concentrate towards welfare of the masses instead of creating chaos.
The minister said all political parties and politicians must work together for eradication of terrorism and extremism.
He said the present government was working under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari to bring prosperity to every common man.
