All three siblings perform on stage at the Carnegie Hall for the year-opening concert of the New York City Technical College. Violinist Pierre Constant (14) is the first African-American to receive a scholarship from the pre-college division at the Juilliard School of music. He is also already in his second year at the New York City Technical College. In between studies he manages five hours' rehearsal a day. Pierre is the oldest of three musicians in the Constant family.
