Muhammad Zubair calls on PM Nawaz
ISLAMABAD: Governor-designate Sindh Mohammad Zubair has called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
According to latest reports, PM Nawaz congratulated the governor-designate on his new assignment and assured him of his full cooperation. Mohammad Zubair thanked the prime minister for the confidence reposed in him and assured the PM that he will leave no stone unturned to serve the people of Sindh.
He said that Sindh is the most sensitive province in the country. However, law and order situation in Karachi has significantly improved due to the measures taken on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's directives, he added.
The government has picked Muhammad Zubair as the Sindh governor after the position fell vacant following the demise of Governor Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui.
On January 12, Sindh Governor Justice (retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui passed away after a prolonged illness at age 79.
