Handling media is tough enough, but handling social media is the whole other level, as we see a lot of media savvy individuals facing the heat by the citizens of social media. Indian cricketer Muhammad Kaif is the latest victim of the social media hate barrage after he posted pictures of him doing the Surya Namaskar.
The incident occurred, when Kaif shared four photos of himself doing the Surya Namaskar, i.e. a Yoga pose that is known to be an excellent series of exercises to maintain fitness levels, early morning of December 31.
Surya Namaskar is a complete workout fr the physical system,a comprehensive exercise form without any need fr equipment. #KaifKeFitnessFunde, he tweeted.
However, that didnt sit well with many users on the micro-blogging platform, as people called the practice non-Islamic, initiating a whole new debate with Twitter users quickly taking sides, some criticizing and some supporting Kaif.
However, the cricketer jumped in giving a befitting response to the trollers, In all 4pics,I had Allah in my heart. Cant understand what doing any exercise, Surya Namaskar or Gym has to do with religion.It benefits ALL, he tweeted.
This isnt the first such incident, previously Indian fast bowler Muhammad Shami was trolled for sharing a picture of his wife which was deemed indecent by the internet community.
