Senate session starts in National Assembly hall
ISLAMABAD: The 74th session of Senate started here with recitation from the Holy Quran. Chairman Senate Faroqq H Naek presided over the session.
The Senate session was held in National Assembly hall owing to installation of new sound system in Senate hall.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Whip of the Government in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah moved a motion during last session of the National Assembly and sought approval of the House for conduct of Senate session in National Assembly hall till the installation of new sound system.
The National Assembly approved the motion. It is first time in the history of the country that the Senate session was being held in National Assembly hall.
