The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a condolence meeting in the memory of former foreign minister late Agha Shahi here on Saturday. Former Foreign Minister, Sahibzada Yaqub Ali Khan, Former Foreign Secretaries, Niaz A. Naik and Riaz H. Khokhar and former ambassadors and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar, and Foreign Secretary, Riaz Mohammad Khan addressed the meeting. Niaz A. Naik, Riaz H. Khokhar and Ambassador Khalid Mahmood (Retd) also spoke on the occasion. Paying tributes to late Agha Shahi, the speakers recalled his outstanding services rendered to the country.
They said the late diplomat was a true patriot who steered country's foreign policy with great wisdom, foresight and strategic vision during crucial times in our history.
They said Agha Shahi has a towering international figure of great stature and intellect who devoted his entire life for defending the interest of Pakistan and upholding international principles of peace, development and human rights.
