BANNU: The government has approved Rs.700 million for various projects of Bannu University of Science and Technology with prime focus on construction of academic blocks and extension of hostels.
The approval was granted by Central Development Working Party (CDWP) after accepting PC-I of Bannu University of Science and Technology (BUST).The announcement was made on Tuesday after a meeting of CDWP that principally agreed on revised PC-I of the University.
The new PC-I would increase financial implication on project from Rs 428 million to Rs 705 million.
The increased allocation would help to remove price hike hurdles in land purchasing for construction of Academic Blocks and constructing a new third storey on hostels.
Professor Dr Asmatullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of the university appreciated Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Dr Naddem Ulhaq, Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr Javaid Leghari, Executive Director Suhail Naqavi, Farhat Ullah Babar and Dr Motan for taking keen interests in development of this university and their efforts in overcoming its financial hurdles.
