ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was in the habit of taking U-turns as evident form its changing of stance every week.
While the record showed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had never budged from its stance, she said in a statement. The minister said it was the PTI which had threatened to lockdown the Federal Capital and hold sit-ins if the commission was not constituted and taken the matter to the Supreme Court, but now it had backtracted saying that it would boycott the commission if it was formed.
Which kind of the joke it was having with the nation, she asked.
The minister said during the last three years, the PTI had done nothing except pressurizing, bullying or hurling insults at the constitutional institutions and it was even using the same tactics again.
Now was the time that the nation, the civil society and the intelligentsia should analyze the records of both the PTI and the PML-N and decide which party was right, she added.
Marriyum said the PML-N had always taken a stance based on truth and facts while the PTI had to take U-turns as its stances were always based on allegations, cheating, frauds and bad intentions.
The PTI, she alleged, had been trying to set a bad precedent of influencing courts through threats.
