PPP string to take out "Difa-e-Jamhooriyat Rally" on Oct 26

pppKARACHI: Peoples Youth Organisation (PYO), Karachi Division, would take out "Difa-e-Jamhoriyat Rally" on October 26, at 1 pm, from Peoples Secretariat near the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to Karachi Press Club.

This was announced by President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Karachi Division, Syed Najmi Alam, and President PYO, Karachi Division, Abdul Rauf Nagori, and other PPP leaders while addressing a joint press conference at Karachi Press Club here Thursday.

They said that PPP activists and pro-democracy people would participate in the rally in large number which would be organised by the PYO.

They said all conspiracies against the democracy would be foiled and added that President Asif Ali Zardari enjoys support of millions of PPP activists.

They said despite economic challenges the present government is making all out efforts to cope with the menace of terrorism as well as to provide relief and rehabilitate the flood victims.

They said the prevailing situation demands from the whole nation to cope with the present situation with unity.

The political parties should show wisdom and maturity to play their role to pull the country out of the difficult situation, they observed.

They said that the country was facing different challenges on its external and internal fronts.

Besides the challenges of extremism and terrorism, the country is also facing problems due to natural disasters, they added.

General Secretary PPP Karachi Division, Saeed Ghani, and other notables were also present on the occasion.
