Total Parco Pakistan Limited (TPPL) and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (SKMCH & RC) have jointly launched a year long cancer awareness campaign titled "Cancer is Curable."
Mujtaba Jafarey, Retail Marketing & Development Manager, TPPL, presented the cheque for the title sponsorship of the campaign to Dr Faisal Sultan, CEO SKMCH & RC, on Monday, at SKMCH & RC, and announced the commencement of the drive from Tuesday, February 07, 2006. Mahmood Akhtar, Director Marketing & Resource Development, SKMCH & RC, along with senior management of TPPL and SKMCH & RC, were also present.
The campaign would involve red wristbands, engraved with the slogan 'cancer is curable,' to be sold at selected TPPL convenience stores, 'Bonjour', 'La Boutique' and `The Shop'.
The promotion will run in Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. All the proceeds from the sale of the wristbands will go towards free treatment of cancer patients. The campaign will be advertised on radio and SKMCH & RC website.
