LONDON: Europe's main stock markets jumped at the start of trading on Monday, with London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares up 0.95 percent to 5,518.20 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.91 percent to 6,021.29 points and in Paris the CAC 40 advanced 0.73 percent at 3,241.97 points.

Asian markets closed higher on Monday after Europe vowed at a G20 weekend meeting to take swift action on tackling its debt crisis, while positive US economic data also boosted sentiment, traders said.
