Govt to introduce public-private partnership
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to introduce public-private partnership in technical institutes for promotion of vocational training and industry development.
Official sources told APP here on Thursday that in first phase, public-private partnership would be introduced in Government Technical Vocational Centre (GTVC), ATTC and Government College of Technology (GCT) Peshawar.
The official said that Rs 45 million has been allocated for the project against which Rs 10 million would be spent in current fiscal year.
Likewise, Rs 15 million has been earmarked by the government for establishment of Skill Development Centre for male and female in all the three minorities' valleys of Chitral.
Work on setting up Poly Technical Institute (PTI) in Karak casting Rs 235.955 million has already been started against which Rs 77.574 million would be spent in current fiscal year, he said, adding that Rs 158.381 million have already been spent on the scheme up to June last.
He said that Rs 96.965 million was the estimated amount being spent on construction of GPI in Lakki Marwat.
