bashir-ahmed-bilourPESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister and parliamentary leader of ANP Bashir Ahmad Bilour while regretting the repeated demands of the head of a political party for holding negotiations with Taliban said that such statements could be given by politicians lacking sagacity.

Talking to a group of journalists, he said that making such demands after exposure of the nefarious designs of Taliban involved in terrorist activities, killing innocent people in cold blood in suicidal blasts, acts of treason and future plans of creating chaos in the society and destabilizing the country makes a question mark on political maturity of the said politician.

He said that the former-player advocating for starting dialogue with those brutally killing the masses including women and children as well as targeting the security forces must know the fact that politics was not a playground where every technique could be tried but it was a delicate business specially when relating to the defense of the country and security of the people.

Bashir Bilour reminded that the present ANP led provincial government whose leadership believed in philosophy of non-violence held prolong parleys with Taliban, inked peace agreement and showed much leniency.

He said that soft gesture of the government was not only misused, but, the Taliban also utilized the situation to further strengthen themselves, breached the peace agreement and again started destroying schools, public buildings, whipped women and killed security officials in suicidal attacks and even gave deadline to the provincial government for resignation.

He said that they have succeeded in eliminating the subversive elements from entire Malakand including Swat. He regretted that Pandora box of resuming negotiations with defeated inhuman treasons could be only opened by those who don't know the real philosophy of politics and loyalty to the country and nation.

The Senior Minister said that even laymen would never support parleys with Taliban who proved to be wild animals in garb of humanity. He said Taliban even did not spare to kill the people in mosques on Friday and Eid prayers. He said that it was need of the hour to crush all such terrorist elements with iron hand with a spirit of national cohesion and unity.

To a question, he replied that the nation was in state of war and this war could only be won by taking part with the same spirit as demonstrated by our fore-fathers in the war of independence, he concluded.
