Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where three ships carrying containers and diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Tuesday, October 11.

Berth occupancy was 40 percent at the Port on Wednesday where a total of five ships namely MV. HS Wagner, MV. Sealand Washington, MV. Sargodah, MV. Opel and Al Soor II carrying containers, cement and diesel oil respectively are currently occupying berths at Qasim International Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 43524 tonnes, comprising 30204 tonnes imports and 13320 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1318 containers (TUEs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Two containers ships MV.HS.Wagner and Sealand Washington sailed out to sea on morning while another vessel of edible oil, MV. Chem Bulk Jakarta will sail later today.
