The Resource Group (TRG) on Monday announced the acquisition of a controlling interest in Reese Teleservices Inc (RTI), one of the premier call centre services companies in the United States. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, RTI employs over 1,300 staff in seven locations in Eastern United States. With the acquisition of RTI, TRG will increase its annual group revenues to approximately $170 million and its world-wide staff to about 5,000 employees, the company said in a notice to the Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday.
The RTI transaction represents TRG's 13th acquisition to date and further consolidates TRG's position among top ten providers of call centre services in North America and the largest offshore controlled call centre company in the world.
RTI's President and Chief Executive Officer, Chris Ungarino, would continue to lead the company and would maintain a significant ownership stake in RTI.
Welcoming RTI to the TRG family, TRG's Chief Executive Officer Zia Chishti noted: "RTI brings a blue chip customer base and a highly accomplished management team to TRG, making it a valuable addition to our portfolio of leading global communications service providers." RTI's President and CEO Chris Ungarino said, "I am excited to have the opportunity to leverage the TRG network of companies to growth and expand our service offering to existing and new customers."
RTI provides marketing and customer acquisition solutions to Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications and financial services industries.
In addition, RTI is a leading provider of telemarketing fundraising to non-profit organisations in the United States.
RTI will continue to serve its current clientele from its existing contact centres in the United States and will expand its service delivery capabilities to include TRG's global resources. TRG plans to make investments in RTI's infrastructure to further enhance its leading-edge CRM capability and will also provide growth capacity to RTI by leveraging TRG's North American and international network.
