AJK local government & rural development minister Raja Nisar Ahmad Khan has said that 900km roads is being constructed with Rs 10 billion, which would bring progress and prosperity in the areas.
While addressing the high-level meeting of the Review Committee of Mirpur division, he said the local government department was giving special attention towards the development of AJK under various schemes, including Khushal Kashmir Programme (KPP), Annual Development Programme (ADP), Kashmir Council, Social Action programme (SAP).
He said various development programmes have been initiated in the area, including roads, water supplies and building projects.
The minister said, "in three districts of Mirpur division (Kotli, Mirpur, Bhimber) 300 projects have been completed and work on 456 projects is in full swing." He said over 5,000 projects have been completed for the welfare of the people and for the development of Azad Kashmir.
