swertyPESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Amir Haider Khan Hoti has lamented unannounced power load-shedding and termed it injustice, directing PESCO Chief for measures to improve the situation.

He said that the people were suffering due to 18-hour long load-shedding in both urban and rural areas.

“We are ready to bear our share of burden of national energy crisis but not the indiscrimination, " he added.

In a meeting with Chief Executive of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Muhammad Wali Khan at Chief Minister House here on Saturday, he voiced his concern on the problems being faced by the people due to load-shedding.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the major producer of electricity.

He said that PESCO must fulfil its responsibilities in this respect and Members of National Assembly and Senate from KP would be asked to raise the issue at federal level.

He further added that PESCO Chief should present a detailed briefing in provincial assembly on Monday.

Wali Muhammad Khan assured the Chief Minister of all possible steps for providing relief to the people from load-shedding.
