Ibad, Malik issue joint appeal for helping flood victims
KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik have issued a joint appeal to the philanthropists and NGOs to contribute towards relief fund for rain victims of the Sindh province.
This appeal was made by them after the meeting here at Governor House on Monday.
In the meeting they reviewed the situation in rain affected districts of interior Sindh.
The interior minister briefed the governor about the data collected by the Crisis Management Cell about losses caused by rains.
The governor appreciated the efforts being made for rescue and relief by different departments in the affected areas.
They also issued directives to DCOs and DPOs to provide relief goods to the affectees under prime minister Relief Programme.
