shahbaz-sharifLAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has thanked President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa on the announcement of cooperation by the Sri Lankan government for eradication of dengue virus. In a statementhere Saturday, CM said that Punjab government and people of Punjab are thankful to the people and government of Sri Lanka.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Punjab had called the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Pakistan and requested for cooperation to Punjab government for overcoming dengue virus. The Sri Lankan Ambassador contacted his government and the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa immediately announced cooperation.

The Sri Lankan government will provide medicines of dengue virus, related equipment and medical staff in this regard.
