ISLAMABAD: The electricity shortfall in the country Wednesday reduced to 2,514 MW from 3,310 MW as the total power generation was recorded as 13,493 MW against the demand of 16,007 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to the brief on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 5,865 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,548 MW, IPPs 5,951 MW and Renal 129 MW. As many as 730 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report further said.
The Tarbela dam has attained its maximum conservation level of 1550 feet while the Mangla dam is 0.60 feet below from its maximum level.
