HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares were set to open slightly higher on Wednesday, led by some of the more beaten-down Chinese oil and banking names in a rally supposrted by short-covering, but turnover could remain thin.
The Hang Seng Index was set to open up 0.64 percent at 19,836.25. The China Enterprises Index was indicated to start up 0.91 percent at 10,440.8.
