Law & 0rder improved in Karachi: Rehman Malik
KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that peace would be restored in all parts of the city and the safety of life and property of the people would be ensured.
He said while talking to member of PPP Sindh Council Ghulam Mustafa Memon here on Saturday at State Guest House.
Interior Minister said that due to the effective measures of the government the law and order situation has improved visibly.
He further stated that compensation of Rs0.5 million and Rs0.2 million will be paid to the heirs of deceased and injured respectively in the recent Chakra Goth firing incident in Karachi.
Ghulam Mustafa Memon apprising the Minister about the prevailing situation in Chakra Goth, said that it has improved due to the steps taken by the government.
He requested the Minister to direct the Authorities of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) for the restoration of electricity in the area as some PMTs were damaged due to the firing.
The minister assured him that he will talk to the concerned authorities to get resolved the problem.
