100pc production possible after repair of Blast Furnace: PSM

KARACHI: Hundred percent production has been made possible after the repair of Blast Furnace, said a press release issued by authorities of Pakistan Steel on Wednesday.

According to the Iron Mechanic Department (IMD), the most important department of Pakistan Steel, 63 casters worked day and night to fix the problem.

A ceremony was organized in this regard in which the Acting CEO Pakistan Steel Wasif Mehmood was the chief guest. In appreciation of hard work and intense labour, cash prizes of more than 200,000 rupees were distributed among the casters.

While lauding the efforts of the employees, the chief guest said casters have proved that with hard work and sheer determination, even the toughest of jobs can be done. He said by repairing the Blast Furnace, 100 percent production has been made possible.

Acting Principal Executive Officer Production Directorate Chaudhary Masood, General Manager In charge Hot Metal Bashir Ahmed, In charge Iron Making Department Muhammed Hussain and others were also present on the occasion.
