KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), chief Altaf Hussain has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the tragedy in Lyari in which several people lost their lives when a five- storeyed building 'Ruqayya Manzil' collapsed.
Altaf Hussain has sympathized with the affected families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, said a statement issued by MQM here on Saturday.
He also called upon the government to arrange accommodation for the displaced families immediately.
The MQM chief said that each family should be given a flat or house of three rooms.
Altaf Hussain said that it was the moral duty of the government to come to help of the poor families.
