ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Monday clarified that a notification being circulated on social media regarding HEC directive to universities to extend their closure dates is fake.
No such meeting has been held at HEC and the signatory of this forged notification is an honourable retired senior officer whose name has been misused, said a news release issued here.
Students, teachers and management staff of the universities are advised to contact their respective universities for details regarding extension in closure of their institutions.
They are also advised to beware of such irresponsible posts by some elements bent on creating confusion.
