Moonis Elahi moves application for bail
LAHORE: PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi, involved in National Insurance Corporation Limited scam, on Friday moved bail application in a banking court.
The petitioner contended in his application that he was innocent and roped in the matter with malafide intentions.
He further contended that the prosecution witnesses had retracted from their statements against him, therefore, he should be released on bail.
Special Judge Banking offence (central) Malik Abdul Rasheed is hearing the case against Moonis Elahi, his Manager Abdul Maalick, Rizwan Bhatti and Khalil Ahmad for receiving Rs320 million from NICL scam through bogus accounts.
