SHANGHAI: China's Ministry of Finance said on Tuesday it would sell a total of 30 billion yuan ($4.6 billion) of deposit savings bonds to retail investors between June 10 and June 23.
The issue comprises 6 billion yuan of one-year bonds paying a coupon of 3.70 percent, 15 billion yuan of three-year bonds paying a coupon of 5.43 percent and 9 billion yuan of five-year bonds paying a coupon of 6.00 percent.
The coupon levels compare with an interest rate of 3.00 percent on China's benchmark one-year fixed yuan bank deposits, 4.50 percent on three-year deposits, 5.00 percent on five-year deposits.
