FBR collects Rs160bn revenue in May

fbrISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs160.55 billion during the month of May as compared to Rs110.26 billion collected in May 2010.

The revenue collection registered 45.6 percent growth and surpassed the target of Rs152.8 billion set for the month.

According to the provisional figures released here Wednesday, FBR has collected Rs1310.39 billion of revenues up to May, showing increase of 15.3 percent over corresponding period of the last year.

Aggregate collection up to May 31, 2011 thus works out to Rs1310.39 billion as against Rs1136.8 billion collected during the corresponding period of the last year, it added.
