NEW YORK: The dollar accelerated losses against a broadly strong Swiss franc on Wednesday, hitting fresh record lows amid a combination of a stronger-than-expected reading of Swiss PMI released earlier in the session and weaker-than-forecast US private sector jobs data.
Traders said investors are ready to sell the dollar on any bounce.
The dollar fell to session lows at 0.84174 franc on electronic trading platform EBS. It was last at 0.84220, down 1.4 percent on the day.
