CHICAGO: Front-month July spring wheat futures on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange rose the 60-cent daily trading limit on Wednesday on concerns about planting delays in the northern US Plains and spillover strength from a rally in corn, traders said.
Strong cash markets for high-protein spring wheat added support, lifting the July above deferred contracts on spreads.
As of 12:45 p.m. CDT (1745 GMT), MGEX July spring wheat was up the 60-cent limit at $9.96-1/4 per bushel.
