BEIJING: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani arrived here Wednesday from Shanghai on the second leg of his four- day official visit to China to discuss with the Chinese leadership ways to further strengthen their strategic partnership.
The Prime Minister, upon arrival at the Beijing airport, was received by ChineGilani arrives in Beijing to hold bilateral talksse Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zbengyue. Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khan and senior Embassy officials were also present on the occasion.
Two children clad in traditional Chinese dress presented bouquets to the Prime Minister, as he alighted from his special aircraft. A contingent of the armed forces presented him salute.
A formal welcome ceremony for Prime Minister Gilani will be held later in the day at Great Hall of the People, where he would be received by Premier Wen Jiabao, before the two leaders meet for talks
