ISLAMABAD: Former diplomat B.A. Malik said that Pakistan should give priority to its neighbours for trade and economic activities.
Talking to Radio Pakistan while commenting on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani's visit to China, he said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto laid foundations of friendship between Pakistan and China and since then every government of Pakistan strengthened ties with China.
He suggested Pakistan can take benefit from its relationship with China, because China is now a major economic and military power.
He added Pakistan can also take benefit from Chinese policy, as the country is doing trade with all its neighbouring countries.
B.A. Malik said Pakistan should also give priority to its neighbours for trade and economic activities.
