LONDON: European stocks markets closed lower Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares down 1.06 percent at 5,861.00 points.
In Frankfurt, the DAX fell 1.77 percent to 7,256.65 points and in Paris the CAC 40 lost 1.21 percent to 3,941.58 points.
