WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama will give his long awaited speech on uprisings in the Arab world and North Africa and the wider Middle East next Thursday at the State Department, an official said.
White House spokesman Jay Carney said the speech, which will take place in the aftermath of the death of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, would be devoted to "the events in the Middle East and North Africa."
