MQM body appeals ulema to promote peace, brotherhood

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee on Saturday appealed to the ulema belonging to different schools of thought to promote peace, harmony, tolerance and brotherhood.

In a statement issued by the party here, its Rabita Committee said those elements who want to disturb peace in the country, particularly in Karachi, are open enemies of the people as well as tranquility.

It said peace and inter-faith harmony prevail in the city due to the efforts of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain but certain elements want to disturb it.

The Rabita Committee appealed to the masses to keep a close watch on miscreants and remain peaceful.
