ISLAMABAD: Former diplomat Mushtaq Mehar dubbed Prime Minister Gilani's visit to France as very important.
Talking to Radio Pakistan while commenting on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani's visit to France, he dubbed the visit as vital and said both France and Pakistan have been enjoying good relations since Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's era.
He added Pakistan mostly imports defence equipment from France because the country has hi-tech technology to produce defence related equipment.
Mushtaq Mehar said Pakistan can invite French investors in agricultural and industrial sectors for making investments.
He added France has made progress in tourism sector and Pakistan can use experience of the country to develop its own tourism sector.
To a question, Mushtaq Mehar said Pakistan wants to generate power from nuclear power stations to overcome energy problem and France can help in uranium enrichment because of its expertise in the field.
