FO confirms Bin Laden's death; says it was not a joint operation

KARACHI: The Pakistan Foreign Office has confirmed the death of Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden Aaj News reported on Monday.

The Foreign Office refuted the claim that it was a joint Pakistan-US operation.

The operation was carried out on gathering of intelligence claimed the Foreign Office, adding that Osama Bin Laden's death is a blow to terrorist organisations around the world.

According to the Foreign Office more than 30,000 Pakistani civilians have been killed in terrorist acts so far.
