KARACHI: Acting PEMRA chairman Abdul Jabbar has said that PEMRA will dock any channel not following its laws of guidelines Aaj News reported on Saturday.
Talking to the media, he said that all channels should conform to the PEMRA guidelines of reporting and dispensing news content.
To a question Abdul Jabbar said that PEMRA does not regulate PTV, adding that the authority issues notices in violation of its laws.
On the Geo Super channel issue he said that PEMRA did not discontinue the transmission of Geo Super and it was because of Geo's administration that the viewers were deprived of its sports broadcast.
Abdul Jabbar added that his statement is on record regarding that in the Lahore High Court.
The acting chairman said that the issue is under discussion in the National Assembly.
To another question, Jabbar said that Geo uplinks from Dubai and not Pakistan.
