MIAMI: Insured losses from recent tornadoes that rampaged across the US South are expected to be in the range of $2 billion to $5 billion, catastrophe risk modeling company EQECAT said on Friday.
"Tornado activity in April is putting 2011 into the record books," EQECAT said in a statement.
