ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf will continue its anti-drone campaign by enlisting support of all other political parties and hopes to meet with success in its goal in the coming weeks, the party's Central Vice President Ejaz Chaudhary said on Tuesday.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said after its just-concluded "Dharna" or sit-in at Peshawar against Drone strikes, the PTI would resort to similar political action in all parts of the country in the coming weeks.
He was confident that their campaign against drone attacks, which were claiming the lives of innocent people, "would reach some logical end".
Ejaz claimed that hundreds of thousands people from all shades of opinions and political parties attended the "sit-in" at Peshawar, thus showing widespread resentment against killing of innocent people in the tribal areas of Pakistan.
He termed drone attacks as an inhuman action imposed on this region by the US authorities.
"Nearly 42 leaders of Tribal Jirgas have been killed so far in these drone attacks ", he said, adding that his party leader Imran Khan has set a one month deadline for drone attacks to stop, failing which NATO supplies would be stopped.
To a question he said that all other parties will be taken on board to support this their campaign against drone strikes.
