ISLAMABAD: The Business community has welcomed the appointment of prominent banker Syed Ali Raza as Chairman Board of Directors of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Senator Haji Ghulam Ali said that Ali Raza is a banker of international repute who brought NBP on world's map.
He said that this move will help the government boost its image while industry and small businesses would also get great help as this bank holds a major chunk in national economy, said a press release issued here on Saturday.
Former Vice President PFCCI Humayun Sayeed demanded that Ali Raza should help restore the economy and introduce new products designed to cater to the needs of all the segments of economy including SMEs.
Business community has assured full cooperation to Syed Ali Raza.
