USA issued 195,793 visas in five years

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar Thursday informed the National Assembly that Pakistan Embassy and Consulates in USA issued 195,793 visas during the last five years.

In a written replying to a question, she said theses visas were issued under various heads including dual nationality, official and diplomats, family visit, tourism and business.

Giving breakup, the minister said that Pakistan Embassy at Washington issued 68,088 visas, while consulate general at Los Angeles, New York and Chicago issued 36,158, 71,079 and 20,468 visas respectively during the said period.
